Collector Rural Fire Service

The Collector Rural Fire Brigade (Brennan Street, Collector), holds monthly training sessions on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm. Please drop in for a chat. You’re very welcome.

The bushfire danger period runs from 1 October – 31 March. Permits are required for all burns during this period. Please contact the Fire Captain to arrange a permit if you need to burn off during this time.

If you’re planning a burn outside of the bushfire danger period, you still need to notify the NSW RFS. The easiest way to do this is by completing the online Notification of your planned burn form at www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/notify. Also, notify your neighbours at least 24 hours before your burn and send a text message to the Fire Captain advising them of your burn.
